Some people are on the move a lot, so much that they can't even take the time to start a BitTorrent download.
Luckily, a solution to their problem has arrived - and it's called µTorrent mUI. µTorrent mUI is an open source, WebUI client that monitors a home session of the popular PC app, µTorrent, and allows you to look in on how current downloads are coming along, or stop and start torrents.
All you need to begin feverishly checking up on your "movies" is a phone with a browser, such as Opera, and the compulsive need to keep tabs on your files. Insanely popular BitTorrent client, uTorrent can be remotely controlled from a mobile device with the help of new uTorrent mUI.
You’ll be able to monitor and control torrent downloads running on your PC from a GPRS or WAP-enabled mobile. It’s optimized to work well on all mobile devices, including those old mobile phones running on Opera Mini.
To setup uTorrent for remote access, you need to install WebUI plugin. Now point your mobile browser to utorrentmui.com and login using your credentials. You’ll be able to start, stop, pause and monitor running downloads, along with some additional information about each torrent.
INSTALLATION
* The WebUI.zip needs to placed in the same folder as µTorrent's SETTINGS.DAT file and DO NOT unzip it.
* If you have not moved the settings files then they will be found at %AppData%\uTorrent (type this in Start -> Run, or the address bar)
* You can do whatever u like with this readme (please read it first though) and the sorttable folder.
N.B: Please make sure you are using the latest build of µTorrent (currently 1.6.1. build 490) that comes with this webui download, and not the µTorrent build that comes with the installer package.
HOW TO USE THE WEBUI
* Enable and configure the WebUI in µTorrent (Preferences -> Advanced -> WebUI)
* Open up a supported browser and use the following URL format
* http://YourIP:UTport/gui/
* If the browser supports Usernameassword (and you have got the WebUI working with the first URL) then use the following URL format
* http://Usernameassword@YourIP:UTport/gui/
N.B: When using the WebUI locally use localhost or 127.0.0.1 as using your external (WAN) IP may cause problems.
KNOWN ISSUES
* Opera might display the tables (torrents and files) incorrectly.
* Trackers cannot be changed at the present time.
* Not all information is known in the general tab yet.
* Choosing save location for torrents is currently not possible.
